Inspiration of the Day

This afternoon was so nice, I slept in 'till 4:30. I've been feeling really optimistic and excited about everything. This week is going to be good, I can feel it.

Its been really cold lately, the high a couple days ago was 2 degrees. Its supposed to snow quite a bit this week, starting Monday. It should be so, so good.

This week, I want to take a winter hike someplace through the snow, wander around and explore the town, maybe take the bus 10 minutes down-valley and ski Beaver Creek, eat lunch at a fancy restaurant I can't afford, finish reading On the Road and Walden on a couch in the lodge at the base of the mountain, wake up early enough to watch the sun come up, find a good coffee shop, feel the snowflakes melt on my face as they fall, wear my Sorrell boots everywhere, and finish my roll of color film.

I'm going to really, really, really enjoy this.

I've been listening to Neutral Milk Hotel, Death Cab for Cutie's Meet Me at the Equinox, Led Zeppelin II & IV, Meric Long's Notes, Elliott Smith and Keith's music. All is right with the world.
