God, I want to go to Telluride.
Nah, I'd actually rather two good early runs down Trestle, and spend the rest of the afternoon messing around off of the Vasquez or Eagle Wind lift. I bet its warm up at the top right now...
Nope, actually the weather forecast says mid 50's to low 60's all week.
To be honest, things might be fucked up. They sure arn't going well for my family at home. I still don't have a job. The more I think about all of this, the more I don't feel like thinking about it. The more I feel like as long as I can ski, the rest doesn't really matter. Those early mornings between 5 & 7am driving up I-70 westbound in my Dad's truck, watching the sun come up, planning out our first run, talking about the snow, the weather. Those mornings make everything worth it.
I think I could be a semi-successful ski bum.
Also funny- 'The Cruel Shoes'. http://www.skinet.com/action/2009-01/musings-pontiff-powder-vol-2
This is exactly how I feel about my goddamn Nordica SpeedMachine Olympias. Dear Nordica: please look at the bottom of a human foot before you make your next season's boots. Take note- the bottom of the foot is NOT FLAT, thus your footbeds shouldn't be either. Heat-moulding to improve comfort my ass. Wait until the liners pack out my ass. After heat-moulding them twice (the second time because the repair shop guy thought a second time wouldn't hurt), wearing them around the house for hours, skiing in them 40+ days the past season.... they still hurt like a bitch. Thanks, Nordica. No wonder this model ended up at sniagrab.
I think I'm going to go to yoga today. Take care.
